About Ability Directory
Ability Directory is a free, independent directory of NDIS providers across Australia. We help NDIS participants, their families, and support coordinators find and compare providers on the information that actually matters.
Why we exist
The NDIS supports over 600,000 Australians with disability, with annual expenditure exceeding $40 billion. There are tens of thousands of registered providers and many more unregistered providers serving plan-managed and self-managed participants.
But finding the right provider is hard. NDIS registration status, funding compatibility, service delivery options, hourly rates, and availability all affect whether a provider is right for you — and this information is scattered across dozens of different websites, Google searches, and word-of-mouth recommendations.
We believe this information should be in one place, freely available, with no accounts required, no paywalls, and no hidden fees. Just clear, transparent data to help you make an informed decision about your supports.
What we provide
- Provider listings with NDIS registration status, funding compatibility (NDIA-managed, plan-managed, self-managed), and contact details
- Wait times, hourly rates, and whether providers are accepting new participants (where available)
- Service delivery options: in-person, telehealth, in-home visits, mobile services
- Filters by provider type, location, NDIS registration, funding type, and availability
- Educational guides to help you navigate the NDIS and understand your options
For providers
If you're an NDIS provider, you can claim your listing for free and update your fees, wait times, availability, service delivery options, and specialisations. We also offer optional paid tiers for increased visibility.
