This site does not provide medical or disability advice
Ability Directory is an informational directory only. Nothing on this site should be interpreted as medical advice, disability assessment, NDIS plan advice, or treatment recommendation. Always consult a qualified professional for decisions about your NDIS supports and services.
About our listings
This directory contains publicly available information about NDIS providers. Provider information is sourced from public sources including Google Maps, provider websites, and publicly available registers. For allied health professionals (such as occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and speech pathologists), registration can be verified through the AHPRA Register of Practitioners where applicable.
A listing on this site does not mean:
- We endorse, recommend, or refer you to that provider
- The provider has been vetted or verified by us beyond publicly available information
- The provider is registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (always verify directly)
- The information shown is current — fees, wait times, availability, NDIS registration status, and services may have changed
- The provider is necessarily the right fit for your situation or NDIS plan
Verify provider details
Before engaging any NDIS provider, we strongly recommend:
- Checking whether the provider is registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission — this is especially important if your plan is NDIA-managed (agency-managed), as you can only use registered providers
- For allied health professionals, checking their current registration on the AHPRA Register of Practitioners
- Contacting the provider directly to confirm current fees, availability, services, and whether they accept your funding type
- Discussing options with your support coordinator or plan manager if you have one
- Checking that the provider's services align with what your NDIS plan funds
NDIS funding and plan information
This site includes general information about NDIS funding types (NDIA-managed, plan-managed, and self-managed) and provider registration status. This information is provided as a general guide and may not reflect recent changes to NDIS rules or provider registration status.
For authoritative information about the NDIS and your plan, contact the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) on 1800 800 110.
No financial relationship
At present, Ability Directory does not accept payment from providers for listings. All listings are free and appear based on publicly available data. If this changes in the future, any paid or sponsored listings will be clearly labelled as such.
